Luke's Halloween Adventure
by Madison Jordan
A fearful boy named Luke was afraid that monsters would get him.
His worst time was at night. His older sister was always scaring him about
monsters. Luke was 8 years old in grade 4 and tonight was Halloween - a great
time to feel excited. Luke went as a chicken with his sister Maggie to trick and
treat. His family was new to the "block", but Luke was anxious to
go.
"Come on, Maggie, we're going to be late!" Maggie got
her shoes on and out they went halfway. Halfway around the block, they came to a
house that had been trashed.
"Let's skip that one," said Luke. Maggie was very
brave, but there were no kids at that house. Maggie ran up to the door.
"No!" called Luke, just as Maggie was about to knock
on the door. But it was too late. A door opened into the blackness of a house
and outlined a wolf. Maggie screamed and Luke came running up the stairs and
grabbed Maggie. Maggie and Luke ran home. When they got home Maggie thanked Luke
for saving her.
They told their family about their adventure and vowed never to
go that house again to trick and treat.
Igor
by Matt McCann It was a foggy and very humid Friday the
13th afternoon. I, Cliff Johnson, was walking by the old creepy house of Igor
Geezer on my way home. He had lived there for 60 years and hadn't been outside
since the 60's and had no intention of coming out. "Hoof,"
I thought I would never get out of school. I opened the door to our house, and
my mom asked, "How you doing, honey?" "Fine,"
I replied. "I think I'm going to start on my homework." "Dinner
will be ready in an hour," she called. "O.K.,
Mom." I ran upstairs and started working. After supper, I
went to the movies with my best friends, Johnny Hyde and Sussy Dawe. We were
going to see Studdering Christopher, the hottest movie since the 80's. When we
got there, we thought it was pretty strange that no one was there. But we got
our popcorn and pop and settled down to watch the movie. When it came on, we
realized that the movie we were watching was not Studdering Christopher, but
some movie we had never even heard of. We got up out of our seats to leave, but
the door was locked. We heard a laugh from the front row, "You, you, must
not leave this building or I will cast an evil spell on you." I
looked around trying to think of a plan. I saw the stairs and thought I might be
able to make it upstairs to pull the rope to make the theatre collapse. I ran
for the stairs and started climbing, when he saw me and screamed. But I pulled
the rope and the whole theatre collapsed on him. Rescuers say he
must have run away before the theatre collapsed on him. But I believe he
disappeared and is hiding in some other house.
What do you think?
Snowed In!
by Marcy Kanuka
The school bell rang to close school for the Christmas break.
"Yeah! School's out!" Emma said excitedly to her best friend Jenna.
Emma and Jenna were always the first ones to leave the school. When Emma and
Jenna tried to open the door, they couldn't. They tried pushing with all their
strength on one door, and still it wouldn't open.
Emma ran to the nearest window with Jenna following, and when
they looked out, they could only see white. They knew they were snowed in! They
ran back to their classroom where everyone was still getting ready putting on
their hats and mittens. "We're snowed in!" Emma and Jenna said at the
same time.
"Would you please go tell the principal?" asked their
teacher, Mrs. Berry. The principal told them to get all the classes to the
library because it had the biggest window that opened. When all the classes were
assembled in the library, the teachers assigned people to begin digging a
tunnel. Emma and Jenna were asked to wait until the end to make sure everyone
was out safely.
Finally, when the tunnel was finished, everyone began to leave,
but Jenna and Emma noticed that Mr. Limb, the science teacher, was missing.
"I think he went to take his medication. Let's wait for him," said
Jenna. They waited 10 minutes then yelled up the tunnel to Mrs. Berry that they
were going to look for Mr. Limb. They saw him through his classroom window take
his container of pills and pour it upside down. Nothing came out. Mr. Limb
looked inside it but nothing was there. Suddenly, he turned and looked at us
with an evil grin.
Jenna and Emma looked at each other and ran towards the tunnel.
When they got there, they found the tunnel was all filled up with snow. "I
have a phone!" Emma suggested, and the girls hurriedly whispered a plan.
When Mr. Limb came in, he asked, "Where's Emma?"
"She went up the tunnel, and it caved in, but I think she
is trying to dig to the top," Jenna replied.
"We'll see about that," Mr. Limb smirked, and started
to dig the tunnel. Finally, he dug to the top where everyone was waiting.
"Hey, they tricked me," Mr. Limb yelled.
The principal walked over to him and started walking him to the
medic centre with him mumbling things. When Emma and Jenna climbed out of the
tunnel, everybody started cheering!
The House on the Haunted House
by Mike Caputo
This is a story about a house that levitated and never came
back.
It was a normal day for the Tucks. They were cleaning their
house and after that they were going to go shopping at West Edmonton Mall. When
they got home, this disgusting smell of blood was going through the air. When
Kayla went upstairs, she felt drops of water, but when she looked up, there were
drops of blood, not water coming down from the ceiling. She ran down the stairs
screaming.
Their dad, Frank, went into his room to see if anything was
going on his room. Out of nowhere a ghost came and hurt Frank. The daughter
Kayla, told her mom that she was going to see her dad. She was biking to the
cemetery and it was pitch black. But when Kayla was looking through the cemetery
when someone grabbed her ankle. The ghost dragged her down to underground hole.
Her mom, Tammie, was getting worried when she did not return, and so she called
the police. They went to the cemetery. They were never found again.
My mother was cleaning the house, when a ghost grabbed at her
heart. Their house levitated and never came back.
The Cannibal's Back
by Marco Bulfone
Fifty years ago, there was a really big earthquake. Thunder
echoed across the earth. People thought Armageddon was happening. People went
into the bomb shelters. All the streets were empty. Then a huge black streak of
lightening hit and that's when the cannibal returned.
The army knew what to do. They sent 10,000 troops to try and
capture it, but it didn't work. I went to my super computer and identified the
monster. I found out that the only thing that could make him powerless was the
stuff from the middle of the earth mixed in with some acid.
So I took my elevator to the center of the earth. When I got to
the center, I got a piece of the earth and went back up. I had to find that rare
acid, but I got it. Then I stored in in a capsule. When I brought the capsule
near the cannibal, his power just disappeared.
Murder at Midnight
by Matthieu Amyotte
One sunny day in Pompeii in 568 BC, in the gladiator's barracks
a gladiator prepares to battle a man with only a small fish net and a dagger.
People jam into the theatre and fill the nearby street. The man comes out into
the theatre. Next comes the gladiator with armor over his legs and arms. He also
has a small shield, a sword and a pitchfork-like weapon.
The fight begins with musical background. The gladiator gets off
to a good start with a wound to the man's chest, but suddenly the man catches
the gladiator's weapon in his net. The gladiator is forced to drop his weapon
and grab his sword from his belt. While he does the man delivers two major
wounds to his stomach. The gladiator falls to the ground and begs for mercy. The
Emperor asks the crowd, "Kill him, or not?"
The crowd gives the thumbs down. That meant kills him, so the
man gave three more minor blows to the neck, and the gladiator died. There would
be one less gladiator in the gladiator's barracks that night.
Two days pass and on the second night at midnight the gladiator
arises from the dead and floats to the temple of Jupiter (the king of the gods).
The gladiator is invisible but his weapons are not. At the entrance the guards
are asleep so the gladiator floats right on into the temple. Inside Jupiter was
having a meeting with the other gods. Jupiter looked up from the script he was
reading and saw the weapons floating through thin air.
"What?" gasped Jupiter.
"Hurry, Apollo (another god) to get the army! I think we're
in trouble." Within minutes, the army had surrounded the invisible
gladiator with full armor and weapons. Immediately the gladiator started killing
the army. Once half the army was slaughtered the remaining half fled for their
lives leaving Jupiter and the other gods to be murdered. They were soon dead.
At 3:00 a.m., the gladiator's ghost reached the top of Mt.
Vesuvius. The gladiator was mad at Pompeii because of his death. So he took a
roman javelin and punctured the top of Mt. Vesuvius. Suddenly molten lava
bubbled out of the top of the volcano. The next moment a huge explosion of ash
and rock flew into the air. Lava started to rush down the mountain.
"This is Jupiter's fault!" yelled the Emperor not
knowing that Jupiter was dead. "Run for your life!"
Soon the lava was flowing throughout the town cooling and
hardening. "It worked," said the gladiator rubbing his hands together.
From that day on, Pompeii has remained buried under the lava!
Three Fingers
by Melissa Chung
At our family reunion, I was searching for spooky stories. My mom said she knew one and would tell it. Everyone sat down to listen. Mom began.
This happened a long time ago, when I was still in school. My class was going on a camping trip. We arrived at the campsite and split up into groups. It was getting dark.
My group started a small campfire. We all sat around it and started telling ghost stories. Nora told a story about when her grandfather died in a car accident on Highway 59. She said he could still be seen stalking around where the accident took place. James told a story about how his cousin’s friend had been drowned in a lake. "My cousin had a
dream about his friend. The friend said he was lonely and wanted a friend who was smart, funny and had blond hair, blue eyes and freckles. The next day a boy fitting that description drowned in that same lake," said James .
I felt something tickling my neck, I wanted to turn around but didn’t. The story was too good. It was probably just some mosquitoes. Then I felt three fingers scraping the side of my neck, drawing blood. A girl screamed, "Look behind you!" I turned around but there was nothing there. Maybe it was my imagination, maybe not, but I thought I saw something dart into the woods. It was too dark. We got into our sleeping bags inside some tents. Nobody got any sleep. The next morning we packed up and drove back home. The end.
Mom was smiling as she finished. Then my four-year-old second cousin Matthew blurted out, "Is that a real story?" Eight-year-old Stephanie said "Nah, it’s just made up". Then mom lowered her collar a little so that we could all see her neck. On it were three parallel scars. "See for yourself," she said.
A Story That May
Cost Your Life
by Melissa Huse
"Slide, slide,
slided."
"Aah!" the
girl yelled in fright. She started shaking the house doors frantically. The
doors were locked solid. Then she saw a shadow holding up a chain saw.
"Ahh!" the
girl screamed again.
Then, "Slide,
slide, slided."
"Can you chop
some firewood for my house?"
"That was a
great story, Blossom. Except she is called Click, Click, Slide, not Slide,
Slide, Slided, and it was an axe, not a chainsaw," corrected Marsha.
"We never heard
that story before," said the twins Kimmy and Karen. The twins had short,
black curly hair and were short for their age. The only way you could tell the
difference between them was that Kimmy had brown eyes and Karen and green.
Strange...
Marsha had long,
beautiful, white, blond hair. That's why we nicknamed her Marshmallow. She would
never wear her hair up in a ponytail or pigtails. She was scared it would damage
her hair.
Blossom had mahogany
colored hair. She was an old-fashioned girl. She wore ankle-length old-fashioned
dresses. Everyone would tease her about her clothes except her friends Karen,
Kimmy, Marsha, and Ashley. Ashley couldn't come tonight.
"Let's tell some
more stories," Kimmy cried.
"No," I
need my beauty sleep, "Marsha argued.
"Go to sleep,
girls," yelled Kimmy and Karen's dad, Mark Osborne. So the girls shut off
their flashlights. Everyone had a hard time falling asleep except Blossom.
The girls saw a dark
shadow and they heard a chainsaw going vrrooom, vroom.
"Aahhh!"
the girls screamed.
"You woke me
up!" Blossom said angrily.
"Sorry I woke
you up. I was just chopping some firewood. I was going to make a fire, so we can
roast some marshmallows," confessed Mr. Osborne.
"Sorry, we
thought you were Slide, Slide, Slided," cried Karen.
"That story is
just fake," said Mr. Osborne.
"Let's roast
some marshmallows now!" So they sat down roasting marshmallows.
"Let's tell some
more stories."
Mummies
Alive!

Not long ago
there was a family of four that had a mother, a father, a brother, and a sister;
they were going to Egypt on December 24th, Christmas Eve.
Mathew and Sara were so excited to go to Egypt that every day they would
ask their mother how many more days until December 24th, and every
day their mother would count down the days until it was the day they were going
to Egypt. On December 24th,
8:00pm. Mathew, Sara and their
parents were on the plane headed for Egypt.
The two children
slept for a half-hour through the journey, they dreamt of Christmas trees, snow
and presents. Finally the plane
arrived in Egypt; Mathew and Sara’s parents wore them up from their nap.
“We’re here, we’re here!” Sara exclaimed.
By the time the taxi arrived it was already ten o’clock p.m.
The taxi driver drove the family of four to a nearby hotel.
Mathew, Sara and their parents slept right away because of the very long
trip. They were exhausted.
The very next
day the family of four ate breakfast very quickly so they can catch the bus to
go to Giza. When they arrived in
Giza they asked the pyramid’s guard if they could have a tour inside the
pyramid. The guard said ok. He also
said that they had to be careful. Mathew,
Sara and their parents did not know what the guard meant, for all they knew they
were going to have fun. The family
of four started off with the first tunnel. There were many, many pictures of
people. In the second tunnel they
saw many pictures of animals. The
children’s mom looked over her shoulder and saw that Mathew and Sara weren’t
there.
“Mathew!
Sara!’ their mother cried.
“Where are
we?” Mathew asked horrified.
“I have no
clue,” Sara answered just as horrified. “Well then let's try to find our way out. OK?” Sara
replied.
So
they headed into a different tunnel, Mathew and Sara were still very scared.
They were walking side by side until they heard a very strange noise, so
they wanted to check it out, the noise was coming from a hole.
So they went into the hole. When
they went in the hole, Sara started to scream; they saw many tombs covered with
dust and bones. Mathew saw one of
the tombs open in the corner of his eye. Ah!
Ah! Mummies alive! Mathew and Sara
started running as fast as they could. As
they looked back they saw a mummy running after them. Mathew and Sara hoped that they would live, who knows if they
did.
The
Little Box
By
Meghan Wladyka
Once,
about 2 years ago there lived a girl named April. April’s grandmother has just died leaving April with a
little box painted with suns and moons. It
came with a little note assigned to April and on it was written – this box can
create good and evil so be careful what you wish for.
One
Monday, the day after April had got her little box; she brought it to school.
There was a big race today at school and April always came in second
place against Kelly. Kelly was the
most popular girl in school. At the
race April wished to win and just before the finish Kelly tripped and fell and
broke her ankle. April won the
race.
The
next day at school, everyone was treating April like she was the most popular
girl. She felt great.
Then, she saw Kelly walking down the hall with crutches and felt a bit
sad - and guilty. Oh well, she
thought, Kelly always gets the attention so it won’t hurt for someone else to
get some for a change.
After
school April went to the mall and as she was walking past her favorite shop she
saw two outfits she really liked. She
said to herself, “I really wish I had those outfits”. When she got home from the mall and opened her backpack she
was very surprised to see the two outfits in her backpack and they were the
right size. April took out her
little box and looked at it closely for a long time.
She wondered if her grandmother would approve of how she was using it.
Then she had a great idea. She
would wish for her grandmother to be here with her right now.
Suddenly,
her grandmother appeared. She
looked very pale and her voice was weak and soft.
She sat on April’s bed and talked with her for a long time.
She talked about the special gift she had given to April and how very
important it was. She told April
how she should only use for good and only in very special times.
Then April’s grandmother kissed her on the cheek and told her how much
she lover her. The last thing she said to April was that she knew April
would do the right thing. April
knew what she had to do.
The next morning April woke up and her mother came up to say good
morning. Her mother told her to
hurry up and get ready for the big race. April
sighed and knew she was back to Monday morning and had the chance to do it all
again – but this time she was not going to use her box.
April took her little box and hid it in a very special place.
From that day forward no one ever saw the little box again.

“Ahhhhh,”
screamed Nicole.
“What’s
wrong?” asked Maddie.
“There’s a-a
a black cat on my head,” yelled Nicole.
“Well get it
off,” said Maddie. Just then a screechy door opened. A bit of light shone
through.
“Is there
anything that I can help you with?” she asked.
“Yes. Who are
you?” asked Nicole.
“My name is
Vika. I am one of the witches that live here,” answered Vika.
“Did you say
that you were one of the witches that lives here?” asked Maddie.
“Yes, yes,”
said Vika.
“How many
witches are there?” asked Nicole.
“That’s for
me to know and you to find out!” exclaimed Vika. Maddie and Nicole looked at
each other and ran. Vika hopped on to her broomstick and raced after them.
Maddie and Nicole stopped running in a dark hallway.
“Oh no,”
sighed Maddie. Breathless the girls started to run again. They turned into
another hallway. They thought they were safe but Nicole turned around to see
another witch.
“Hello,” she
said. “My name is Falo. I see that you have met my dear friend Vika. But she
isn’t nearly as bad as I am! Ha ha ha ha ha ha,” she laughed. Falo grabbed
them by their ears and dragged them into a large room.
“This is my
lab and this is the pot you will be cooked in!” she exclaimed. She threw them
into the pot.
“Boil, boil,
boil, old pot boil, until these two girls rot!” she sang. “I have to get my
seasonings.”
Nicole whispered
to Maddie, “I got a plan. I will boost you onto the edge of the pot then you
pull onto the edge, then we’ll run over there and hop on those brooms and fly
out that broken window.” Soon Maddie was on the edge of the pot helping
Nicole. Out.
“On the count
of three we run. 1.2...3!” Maddie whispered. They ran as fast as they could to
the broomsticks but it didn’t take long for Falo to notice they were gone. She
was on their tails. The girls jumped on to the brooms and flew out the broken
window. Neither of the girls ever went back there again.

Magic Book

In
the year 2001, there was a girl named Bula. She was getting married to Frank.
The wedding was in three weeks. Bula was preparing for the wedding. While she
was shopping she saw this really cool book at Chapters, so she went in and got
it. After Bula got home, Frank explained that he was worried. She had been gone
for so long.
“What
took you, Bula?”
“I
got a book at Chapters,” said Bula.
“Hey,
it’s cool! Can I read it?” said Frank.
“Come
on, let’s read it together,” suggested Bula.
“OK,”
said Frank.
So
Bula and Frank went to read their new book. Little did they know that it was a
time machine. Bula and Frank fell asleep with the book between them. The book
started to glow and a flash of green light transported them to world war 2. Then
Bula and Frank woke up thinking about what happened.
“What
was that Frank?”
“I
don’t know. I think we are in world war 2. I got an A+ on my test about this
in High School,” said Bula.
“Yeah
me too. Let’s find shelter, ok?” said Frank.
Frank
spotted a base. “Over here they can give us shelter,” yelled Frank.
Frank
and Bula went to the base and asked if they could have some shelter.
They
said, “yes.”
“Thank
you for the shelter,” said Bula.
“No
problem. Can you give us something in return?” said the commander.
“Yes,
I possess lots of knowledge of what is going to happen to this base. It’s
going to be bombed in 24 hours.
“So
be ready,” gasped Frank.
“Ok,”
said the commander.
The
base’s commander spread the news very fast. People panicked for a bit, but
when they heard the full story they stopped.
“In
2 hours we will evacuate,” said the commander.
Then
the war began at 20 hours. There were lots of casualties. The war was a tye tie.
Both countries had lost all of their men. They were collecting more soldiers in
9 hours. Then a surprise attack was launched. In 2 hours the stealth flyers were
ready to bomb the base. They were not fast enough to evacuate, so every one was
killed. Bula and Frank were transported back to their room and woke up.
“That
was a weird dream,” gasped Bula.
“Yeah,”
gasped Frank.

Howl

Meagan
was standing by her locker at three o’clock when the bell emitted a piercing
scream. She just remembered, tonight was Halloween. Meagan had heard of the
haunted house on Kikala St.
People
said that a Cyclops lived in the house but nobody really believed that a Cyclops
really lived there.
When
Meagan got home her thirteen-year-old brother walked up an asked her if she was
going to go knock on the door of the haunted house. Meagan never really liked to
turn down a dare but if she really did accept, she knew that she would never be
able to actually walk up to the door and knock. Could she?
That
night Meagan put on her Halloween costume and waited for her mom to shut and
lock the door. When they finally reached the Haunted house Meagan wanted to turn
and run. Cold footsteps of other kids echoed through the empty lot as they
hurried by. Meagan was ready. She very cautiously walked towards the door and
raised her hand into a fist. Her knuckles were pale white. Meagan looked at the
door and rapped it two times. She heard slow footsteps coming down the hallway
inside. Then, the door slowly opened. She screamed. Meagan woke with a start.
“Where
am I?” she asked.
“You’re
in the hospital,” her mom said.
“What
happened?” she asked.
“Somebody
opened the door, and then you screamed and fainted.”
“Call
for Miss Lyszczyk,” the nurse said, holding up a phone.
“Thank
you,” Meagan said.

The
Haunted Mask
by
Mike Parsons
Hi!
My name is Michael. I am 10 years old and turning 11 in May. Right now it is
October 29 which is two days before Halloween. I am going with my brother Tyler
and my friend Jeffrey.
“Mom”
I shouted. “I am going to get my costume.”
“OK,
but be back in about an hour.”
“Sure,”
said Michael and he grabbed his wallet and went onto the door.
At
last, Michael had reached the costume store. As Michael walked in the door he
said hello to the storekeeper.
He
replied, “Hello. You must be a trick-or-treater.”
“Got
that right,” said Michael. “What kinds of costumes do you have?” Michael
asked.
“Oh
lots,” the storekeeper replied.
“Do
you have any very scary monster costumes?” Michael said as he was looking at a
scream mask.
“You’re
in luck. There is one that has never been purchased. Any kid who bought it,
returns it because they say it is haunted,” the storekeeper said.
“I’ll
take it”, said Michael as he started walking towards the counter.
“That
will be six dollars and fifty cents,” said the storekeeper happily.
“Thanks
a lot! This should be great!” said Michael as he walked out the door.
“It
should be great for actually turning into the monster of the mask. He He He He
He,” said the storekeeper in a funny voice as Michael left the shop.
Finally,
it was Halloween, the day that kids have the time of their lives. Michael called
his friend Jeffrey and told him to come over because it was 5:45 p.m.
Now
it was 6:00 p.m. and everybody was ready, in their costumes except for Michael.
He went upstairs to go and get his mask. He put it on and did not realize that
it had sucked his face like a vacuum cleaner when he had put it on. He went
outside with his brother Tyler and went to go trick-or-treating.
It
was 7:00 and everybody was steaming hot. Everybody took their masks off but
Michael waited awhile.
Now
Michael was ready to take off his mask. He tried to pull it off lightly but it
did not come off. This time he tried with all of his might and it still did not
come off. He started screaming.
Everybody
said, “What?”
Michael
said, “My mask is not coming off. He said,” We must go to the storekeeper
and ask what’s wrong with it.”
They
were at the store as Michael dashed in and said, “I can’t get my mask
off.”
“That’s
what they all say,” said the storekeeper. “ Just say that you are finished
trick-or-treating and it will come off,” said the storekeeper.
Michael
shouted, “I am finished trick-or-treating,” and the mask came off and went
straight back on the shelf where the storekeeper had picked it up in the first
place.
Michael
went home and told his mom, “Next year you choose a costume for me.”
“OK,
if you say so,” said his mom.
1 year later
…………………………
Halloween Day 5:45
“Honey,”
said Michael’s Mom. “I found your old bunny costume.”
“No,
I am not wearing that either.”
“But,
honey you said I could pick out a costume for you one year ago.”
“I
guess you’re right,” said Michael, “but this year I would rather stay here
with you.”
“But
don’t you want your candy?” said his mom.
“Ahhh,”
said Michael, “who needs candy?”

“I
can’t wait till tonight!” exclaimed
Amy to Emily.
“Yeah,”
said Emily.
It
was Halloween afternoon and Amy, Emily and Josh were going to try a new route
for trick-or-treating.
“We
better be careful nobody finds out we’re doing this,” said Josh, he was a
worrywart. That night the kids got their costumes on and snuck out the back. On
their way they saw a big old mansion.
“I
wonder what’s inside?” said Josh.
“Let’s
go in,” said Amy.
“Yeah,”
said Emily, and before Josh could make an argument the girls were already at the
door.
“Come
on Josh,” shouted Emily.
Finally,
Josh came, just as Amy was about to knock, the door opened.
They stepped inside in a long hall.
Just as they were about to leave the door slammed and locked.
“We’re
stuck,” screamed Josh.
“I
think we’re in more trouble than that. Josh,” said Emily.
There
was a vampire running straight for them!
“We’re
doomed”, yelled Josh.
He
was right, there were trapped. There
was no way out unless they let the vampire catch them sooner.
Just
then Josh fainted on what looked like a gargoyle’s arm.
Then a trap door opened in the floor and they all fell in a large room
with a winding corridor.
“Let’s
follow it”, said Amy.
They
were on their way down the corridor when they saw a door.
“I
wonder what is inside?” whispered Josh.
Emily
opened the door.
“It
looks like a garage but it’s filled with broom sticks and small shelves,”
said Emily.
Just
then they turned around and saw a witch on a broom. Quickly they took a broom each and got on.
“Jump
in the air,” shouted Amy as if she knew how but surprisingly, it worked!
They
were flying around like maniacs!
Just
then Josh said, “Look there’s a big hole in the roof up there.”
So
they flew up and went through the hole and after they got out, the hole closed
and left the witch behind.
But
the strangest thing is every Halloween 3 kids are seen inside their houses and
they don’t come out until the night is over.
Runaway
by
Madison Jordan
When
I was small I did a lot of stuff, like run away from my mom in a store or chase
a dog if he/she would walk by. But
my funniest story was when I was in a mall and I got out of the shopping cart
when my mom wasn’t looking, I wandered off into the big mall.
When I was going into a store a person that worked there saw that I was
lost so she picked me up and waited for my mom to come and pick me up.
We waited and waited until my mom came running up to the clerk and if
she’s seen a little girl. The
store clerk picked me up one last time,
“Is
this could child?” she asked.
“Yes,”
she said, “Thank you so much. God bless you”.
My
mom hugged me and said, “Never do that again”.
When
my mom told my brother about me going away he laughed his head off.
Now when we look back on those times, we laugh.
Now that I am 9 years old I do not run away in a store.
